Frequently asked questions.

Hiring an attorney is an investment and an important decision.
We ask that you review the materials on our website. If you find value in what we offer, request an initial meeting and strategy session to evaluate whether Church Legal is the right law firm for you.

We work with a number of individual health care providers, nonprofit entities, and private medical practices, as well as many “business associates” under HIPAA. This often requires that we utilize HIPAA compliant methods when sharing or accessing protected health information.
When appropriate, we do provide and sign Business Associate Agreements with clients.
All clients, regardless of whether HIPAA applies to the clients or the information being shared, have access to tools that are designed to be HIPAA compliant.
The privacy and security of the information entrusted to us is of utmost importance and Church Legal provides these methods of communication and information sharing to all clients.
Our client portal provides clients with ongoing access to important information, the ability to share and receive communications, to schedule appointments, and to pay invoices.

Many companies do not have the need for a full time employee to act as general counsel, or companies may have a single attorney or small legal department that will need additional support for larger projects or for specific subject matter support.
For companies without an attorney on staff, we fill the role of answering and researching legal questions that arise from time to time. We also review documents and proposed terms of transactions. As is the case with an employee general counsel, for certain specialty matters and litigation we will assist the company if the subject matter is within our legal focus and if it falls outside of our focus, we assist the client in engaging with appropriate litigation counsel and/or facilitating referrals.
For subject matter support, such as investigating a HIPAA data breach, responding to an over payment action, or assisting with the protection and management of a company’s IP portfolio, we will often work with and support on staff legal counsel and/or the company’s current outside legal counsel or law firm.
